The Vorpal Sword is the enemy of the Jabberwocky. Alice Kingsleigh is the chosen one to slay the Jabberwocky. It was stolen from the White Queen by the Knave of Hearts and hidden in the Red Queen's castle.
Nivins McTwisp tells Alice the sword is in a small building being guarded by the Bandersnatch. She then gives the Bandersnatch its eye back and is able to retrieve the Vorpal Sword.
The Vorpal sword is also mentioned in the poem "Jabberwocky".
