Some of the fictional heroes make a decision start their heroic journeys.

Every good soul have traveled far and wide, braved many obstacles and even challenged the forces of darkness to find such legendary lost treasures. Maybe it is a fortune in gold and jewels, left behind by a long-dead monarchy, or perhaps it is a tome of untold ancient wisdom, or a preternatural item (such as the Magic Mirror from the classic fairy tale Snow White) that lets the bearer see the future; whatever the case, the protagonists (and any number of rivals) have good cause to believe what they are after is very valuable and/or powerful, the sort of thing that could change their very lives - perhaps even change the world - and definitely not something that should fall into the wrong hands.

So they find such undiscovered wonder in other places perhaps no one has ever dared to go (such as a booby-trapped ancient tomb with ). And the question is "what do they find inside?".

Nothing. No pile of treasure or legendary artifact, just an old coin and a note telling them that they've already found the greatest treasure of all.

They embark on journeys for several reasons.

To pursue their dreams
To set off on a quest
To discover the truth of themselves
To start a mission of sorts

Alternately, the journey itself is trying to get back home.

“	(Po smiles and sets off. Down in the village, the villagers cheer as Po and the Five begin their journey.) (Po: Inner peace, inner peace, inner peace... peace on!) (Mr. Ping: Po!) (Po is caught off guard as he and the Five stop outside Mr. Ping's shop. Mr. Ping runs outside with a large backpack, which upon being dropped on the ground spills a large amount of contents.) (Mr. Ping: I got your travel pack! I packed you food for weeks: cookies, buns, vegetables... and I even packed all your action figures! [He pulls out action figures of Mantis and Tigress and holds up the Tigress figure.] See?) (Po is embarrassed as Monkey laughs and Tigress looks at Po in amusement.) (Po: Oh! Uh, hey, I don't know what those are, never seen them before in my life... [As soon as Monkey and Tigress are off-screen, Po grabs the Tigress figure.] Dad, you got scratches on my Tigress.) (Mr. Ping pulls out some portraits.) (Mr. Ping: I also packed your paintings of our best times together, just in case you get lonely! That's me and you making noodles... and that's me and you eating noodles... and that's me giving you a piggy-back ride! Just come home safe.) (Connie Maheswaran: Oh, thanks, Mom! Thanks, Dad!) (Amethyst carries Steven's duffel bag.) (Amethyst: I can't believe I'm finally going to Homeworld!
