The Shining, also known as the Shine, is a radiating eldritch clairvoyant power of telepathy that performs many psychic abilities including reading minds and revealing all things preternatural such as ghosts amongst both all physical things and living beings alike. It is primarily featured in the mythos of Stephen King books including the 1977 horror novel The Shining.
