The North Forest is a location in the 1981 anime film Enchanted Journey. It is the residence of numerous free chipmunks.
When Pippo meets Glikko, he tells him about the forest and the chipmunks that live there. Glikko wants to go there, but Fluff wants to stay. Pippo returns to tell Glikko about the dangers on his journey and regrets telling him about the forest, because he believes it would be impossible for him to travel there by himself, but Glikko has made up his mind to go there. Fluff helps Glikko escape, but he gets lost in the city. He meets a sewer rat named Gamba and helps him fight a gang of house rats. After the battle, Gamba takes Glikko to his destination, only to discover a zoo exhibit inhabited by chipmunks. A female chipmunk named Nono wants to go with him, but Glikko refuses until he reluctantly decides to have her along.
On their journey, however, they know that winter is coming and have to avoid predators, such as hawks and foxes. They cross the river and ocean and make it to the mountains, only to discover that winter has already come. Nono tells her backstory to Glikko about how she and her mother were captured by humans and taken to the zoo and are being stalked by a fox. They finally manage to make it to the forest, where Pippo and the local chipmunks greet them. However, they are attacked by the fox, but Glikko manages to get rid of the dangerous predator by jumping across a ravine. He survives and the chipmunks prepare a feast, while Pippo heads back.
