Kurikara(倶利加羅 in Japanese), also known as the Kouma Sword (降魔剣), is a demon-slaying sword created by Mephisto Pheles and is the signature weapon of Rin Okumura.
The sword also serves as a seal for Rin's demonic powers, allowing him to keep his blue flames contained.
Appearance[]
Kurikara is a traditional Japanese katana with a blue hilt, and an unusually-shaped silver handguard. The sword has a silver collar above the guard, and another one at the tip of the hilt with a green tassel attached to it. The scabbard is deep royal blue with silver ornaments wrapped around it and a silver "Om" symbol on it. Whenever he's not using it, Rin carries the sword in a red bag on his back.
Whenever the Kurikara is drawn, it unleashes the full strength of Rin's demon powers. Both the sword and Rin's entire body become enveloped in his demonic blue flames, and the blade gives off the illusion as though it's glowing bright blue.
