The K-19 Phantom New Age Power Suit or NAP for short, is the main protagonist of the 1990 isometric shooter Final Zone. It is a specially-designed combat mech sent by the El Sharia Military Nation to destroy the only remaining weapon of mass destruction in the world, located within Point A-46K Bloody Axis.
History[]

100 years into the future, weapons of mass destruction have been banned across the world; as a result many were confiscated and subsequently destroyed. One such unit tasked with locating these weapons is the El Sharia Military Nation, which uses its highly skilled "Team Undead" unit led by Howard Bowie to locate and destroy said weapons of mass destruction. By the time of the game's story, only one known weapon is known to exist, however it is located within a highly secured enemy base known as Point A-46K Bloody Axis. Nonetheless, Bowie takes up the task of locating and destroying this weapon using the K-19 Phantom New Age Power Suit, a specially made mech that is load with a large arsenal of weapons for use in combat, as well as a highly evasive Super-Speed mode.

X68k diagram
The NAP travels through various environments, where it battles enemy forces presumably sent from Point A-46K Bloody Axis, in each zone it must eliminate a set number of specific enemies (typically taking the form of tanks, helicopters, and armed turrets). Once each zone is cleared, the mech battles an enemy leader. Eventually, the NAP reaches Point A-46K Bloody Axis where after battling through heavy resistance as well as destroying the bases' main supercomputer, the mech comes across the weapon of mass destruction in the form of a heavily-armed, golden mech. The NAP manages to destroy the weapon before it is unleashed upon the world. But K-19's escape proved to be anything but smooth: the route to escape is laden with the enemy's defensive apparatuses which prevents any intruders from successfully leaving the base and K-19 had to negotiate before escaping the exploding base.
Afterwards, the NAP's silhouette is seen gazing from atop a cliffside (depending on ports the scene can be either dawn giving way to sunrise or day), having successfully completed its mission.
Weapons[]
The NAP has a wide array of weapons, some of which are available from the start. At any point during gameplay, the mech can switch its active weapons by use of a menu. All weapons are branched into two firing modes: Hand and Option. Hand serves as the primary weapon that has rapid-fire capabilities and unlimited ammo, though its firepower is notably weaker. Option on the other hand allows for more powerful attacks, but in turn only has limited ammo, and cannot fire rapidly like Hand. Option's ammunition is represented by a meter at the top of the HUD, with red squares indicating ten shots and red bars representing single shots. When Option's ammo runs out, it will be moved to the bottom of the weapons menu. If the NAP takes damage, it will lose the aforementioned bottom weapon. To obtain new weapons, the NAP must locate a weapon transport container and either destroy it or move over it.
Standard System[]

- Normal - a standard rapid-fire cannon that fires a stream of bullets forward. In Option mode, it fires 3 bullet bursts in twin streams.
- Shot Gun - fires 3 bullets in a fan-shaped spread. In Option mode, it fires two bullet streams in a snake-like movement pattern.
- Wave - fires a twin bullet stream in a tight parallel formation. In Option mode, it fires 2 bullet bursts in 3 streams.
- Vulcan - fires a stream of bullets forward similar to Normal, except faster. In Option mode, it fires 2 stream of bullets in a "V" pattern.
- Twin - fires a twin bullet stream in a loose formation. In Option mode, it fires the same weapon as the Wave.
- Grenade - fires a stream of bullets in a burst. In Option mode, it fires 8 bullets in a circle pattern.
Laser System[]

- Ray - fires a powerful beam that can penetrate up to 3 enemies. In Option mode, it fires two beams at a time.
Napalm System[]

- Napalm - fires a short-range flamethrower. In Option mode, the flamethrower fires with a longer range.
- Handy Napalm - fires a short-range flamethrower just like the normal Napalm. But in Option mode, it fires a three-way flamethrower.
Wire System[]

- Rope Gun - deploys a chain weapon that has short range but deals very high damage, the NAP cannot move while this weapon is active. In Option mode, the weapon is able to penetrate enemies. It is the strongest weapon in NAP's arsenal, being able to instant-kill even bosses if used correctly.
Mine System[]

- Mine - fires a non-homing missile forwards. In Option mode, the NAP will deploy a timed bomb.
Missile System[]

- Bazooka - fires a rapid-fire missile stream that deals high damage. In Option mode, it fires 3 streams of 2 missiles in a "T" formation.
- Spread - fires a rapid-fire missile with short range. In Option mode, it fires 3 homing missiles that track down nearby enemies.
- Side - fires two streams of missiles, one towards the front and back of the NAP respectively. In Option mode, the streams switch to being fired to the left and right of the mech instead.
- Air Hunter - fires a single non-homing missile similar to the Mine. In Option mode, it fires an anti-air missile that is capable of evading terrain, but can only hit air enemies.
- Help - fires a stream of homing missiles. In Option mode, air support is called in and deploys bombs.
- Missile Cannon - fires a rapid-fire missile stream that deals high damage similar to the Bazooka. In Option mode, it fires 4 missiles in a plus (+) shape.
- Particle Cannon - fires a single homing missile. In Option mode, it deploys anti-air fire similar to the Air Hunter, but in the form of a cannon.
- Giant - fires a single missile with a much larger hitbox. In Option mode, the missile becomes explosive, dealing splash damage to all enemies within its explosion radius.
Melee System[]
- Punch - Available only to X68k port, this system enables K-19 to deliver powerful punches at his larger targets at a close range. Like Normal system, this is a default equipment.
