The Ecto-1 also known as Ectomobile is the vehicle that the Ghostbusters use to travel throughout New York City hunting ghosts and other entities.
History[]
The vehicle used for the Ecto-1 was a 'Cadillac professional' chassis type from 1959, manufactured by the Miller-Meteor company. The strange but curious combination of an ambulance design and the shape of a hearse ended up becoming the final product. The Dr. Ray Stantz found the vehicle shortly after he had mortgaged his mother's house to buy the Station that would soon become the famous headquarters of the Ghostbusters. Thanks to his mechanical skills, Ray was able to repair and redesign the vehicle, which he purchased for four thousand eight hundred dollars.
After the latter concluded its repair, the vehicle acquired a unique appearance and distinction. He became a frequently recognized symbol for the Ghostbusters franchise. The vehicle had enough space to store all the members' proton weaponry, along with the 'Ecto Goggles', 'P.K.E. Meters', and a bunch of traps. further.
