The Divine Beasts are ancient creatures controlled by the Champions of Hyrule. Link has to go inside and activate the terminals, then fight a Guardian. To take control over the Divine Beasts, Link must go to one of the four regions that they're in. The beasts are located in Lanayru, Hebra, Death Mountain, and Gerudo. Lanayru has Divine Beast Vah Ruta, Hebra has Divine Beast Vah Medoh, Death Mountain has Divine Beast Vah Rudania, and Gerudo has Vah Naboris. They can be done in any order, but the easiest is: Ruta, Rudania, Medoh, Naboris. Impa tells you about them when you reach the village. They can still be done before that. Each one has to be weakened before boarding them. You then find a map once you reach the Divine Beast. You have to find and activate terminals, then fight a Guardian. Once you complete them, you will get a Heart Container, and a power from the Champion who piloted it. Vah Ruta is boarded by shooting it with shock arrows, Vah Medoh is boarded by landing on it after destroying its shield, Vah Rudania is boarded by sneaking past and shooting Yunobo at it, Vah Naboris is boarded by preventing it from moving by shooting its feet with shock arrows. When completed, a Divine Beast will shoot a red laser at Hyrule Castle. At the end of the game, the laser turns blue and damages Calamity Ganon. Each Divine Beast has a unique power, Vah Ruta is water, Vah Medoh is wind, Vah Rudania is fire, and Vah Naboris is thunder. There is one Divine Beast in every corner of the map. Each Divine Beast moves around near one of the 4 main town locations in the game. They will attack anyone who gets too close. They don't seem to care about anyone else though. Each Divine Beast can only be boarded and completed once. The game can be completed without completing the Divine Beasts, but it makes it harder. The Divine Beasts don't help out when fighting Dark Beast Ganon though. If they have been completed, all 4 Divine Beasts will drain half of Calamity Ganon's health to make the battle easier.
List of Divine Beasts[]
Divine Beast Vah Ruta[]
Divine Beast Vah Ruta (Vah Ruta for short) is found in the Lanayru region and was piloted by the Zora Champion Mipha. It can be boarded by getting the Zora Armor, then collecting shock arrows from the Lynel. Link then heads to East Reservoir Lake to speak with Sidon and tell him that he is ready. Shooting shock arrows at Vah Ruta when Sidon lets you climb the waterfalls coming out of the Divine Beast will deactivate Vah Medoh. After activating the terminals, Link will have to fight Waterblight Ganon.
Divine Beast Vah Rudania[]
Divine Beast Vah Rudania (Vah Rudania for short) is found crawling on Death Mountain and was piloted by the Goron Champion Daruk. Board it by sneaking past the drones and shooting Yunobo at Vah Rudania. When Link board the Divine Beast, it is dark, and he will need to light it up in order to see. After finding the map, it won't be dark anymore. After activating the terminals, he then has to fight Fireblight Ganon.
Divine Beast Vah Medoh[]
Divine Beast Vah Medoh (Vah Medoh for short) is found near the Tabantha and Hebra regions and was piloted by the Rito Champion Revali. Vah Medoh can be boarded by talking to Teba near Rito Village. Link will have to shoot the targets to prove to Teba that he's strong enough to fight Vah Medoh. Then, Link has to prepare by cooking spicy food or using warm clothes and take to the skies to take out the cannons to disable its barrier that prevents access. After activating the terminals, Link fights Windblight Ganon.
Divine Beast Vah Naboris[]
Divine Beast Vah Naboris (Vah Naboris for short) is a Divine Beast found in the Gerudo region and was piloted by the Gerudo Champion Urbosa. To board it, reach Gerudo Town by buying the Gerudo set disguise. Talk to the leader Riju and she will make you invade the Yiga Clan Hideout to get the Thunder Helm back from the Yiga Clan. Once Link get the Thunder Helm back, he will meet with Riju to shoot bomb arrows at its feet to make it stop and kneel so Link can get on. Once he boards it, he will have to activate the terminals. Once he is able to activate the terminals, he'll have to fight Thunderblight Ganon.
