The Crystal Change Rod was the collective name for the transformation devices given to the four Inner Scouts by Pegasus which allowed them to transform into their second scouts uniforms. These devices only appear in the anime. In the manga, each Scouts used their respective Sailor Crystal to transform into their second scout uniforms. They replaced the Sailor Crystals used in the manga in order for the Scouts to transform.

The mystical rods enable the girls to transform into their Super Sailor form; granting them new attacks. These devices only appeared in the 1990s anime, during its 4th and 5th seasons, as well as the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie.
