Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.
~ Doc Brown.

Transportation is the action of transporting someone or something or the process of being lifted. In heroic terms, there are 3 general transit terms:

  • Dimensional Travel: It is the special ability to traverse between different or alternate universes/dimensions/worlds. It is a combination of dimensional manipulation and teleportation. It is also referred to by it's many names: "Dimension Hopping" ("Dimensional Hopping"), "Dimensional Jump", "Dimensional Jumping", "Dimensional Teleportation", "Dimensional Transportation", "Interdimensional Jump", "Interdimensional Jumping", "Interdimensional Teleportation", "Interdimensional Transportation", "Interdimensional Travel", "Inter-Reality Jump", "Inter-Reality Jumping", "Inter-Reality Teleportation", "Inter-Reality Transportation", and "Inter-Reality Travel".
  • Teleportation: It is the classic unique ability to move instantaneously from one location to another without physically occupying the space in between, (commonly by magic rather than science alone), in a matter of seconds. It is also called "Apparation" (also referred to as "Appearing") and "Disapparation" (also referred to as "Disappearing"), "Coordinate Change", "Coordinate Movement", "Phase-Jumping", "Spatial Movement", and "Translocation".
  • Time Travel (sometimes commonly spelled "Time-Travel"): It is the iconic special ability to move through time. It is also known as "Chronoportation", "Temporal Relocation", "Time Jump", "Time Jumping", and "Time Traveling" (often sometimes spelled "Time-Traveling"). Depends of the storyline of a fiction, time travel can be part of the heroes' good schemes. This feat would enable benefactors to travel and/or send their sidekicks or other people/object to future/past. Depends of the heroes' resources/tools for this feat, they may be limited to remaining on the same spatial spot of a differing timeline, others may be able to move to a different spatial position.
