Paranormal is a category for unnatural places, strange objects and paradoxes that defy our currently accepted laws of science or reason, yet can not be easily classified into such traditional roles such as heaven or hell (same with supernatural type of villains who can never be easily classified in a traditional sense as ghosts, demons, angels, or undead). Common examples of preternatural things and locations would be preternatural, extradimensional or with unexplained powers that can not be put down to mutation or orthodox magic.
