History[]

SSCaesar

In the vast reaches of outer space, a sinister force is lurking. A giant supercomputer named Star Brain, and it only has one goal in mind: destruction. The supercomputer is stationed within a massive space station that is guarded by its own force of enemy ships and robots, where it gives orders to destroy any and everything in its path. As a result, countless spaceships full of civilians are destroyed. To prevent Star Brain from eradicating the galaxy of all life, the Galactic Fleet sends its fastest spacecraft: Caesar in order to destroy the omni-cidal supercomputer.

Caesar travels from various sections of Star Brain's space base, where it destroys much of its forces one by one, at the end of each section, the spacecraft encounters Star Brain and destroys it, only to learn that it was only a decoy. When Caesar encounters Star Brains, it has limited time to destroy them. If Caesar takes too long to destroy Star Brains, they flee and Caesar must clear the space base all over again. Eventually after finishing the sixteenth and final section, it confronts a bigger, improved version of the supercomputer. There it destroys its four turrets, before eliminating its brain, destroying the supercomputer and bringing an end to its reign of terror across the galaxy.

After the battle, Caesar is retired from service, however its legacy remains strong as the craft becomes the basis for many future fighters to come.

Weapons[]

Caesar is armed with only one weapon: a standard vulcan cannon that fires a single shot forwards that has enough firepower to destroy most enemies and environmental objects instantly; the weapon can be upgraded twice via shooting "P-marks" containing power-ups. At level 2, the cannon will fire two shots forward and one shot backward, and at level 3, the cannon will be fired in five directions in a star pattern.

In addition, once the third power-up is obtained, a rotating shield will be activated around the craft, which protects it for up to five hits, however getting hit once while the shield is active will downgrade the main shot to level 2.

Any further power-ups that are obtained while the shield is active will create an explosion which will destroy all enemies within the field of vision.
